Wolfe Tone Single Grain Whiskey is distilled from a unique blend of Irish grains, including malted barley and maize, using a Column Still (also known as a Coffee Still), and the spirit is multi-distilled. It is aged in ex-American bourbon casks, allowing the whiskey to develop a smooth, well-rounded flavour profile. The natural sweetness of the maize combines with the rich vanilla notes from the bourbon oak, creating a refreshingly flavourful drink.
The Wolfe Tone brand embodies the spirit of Ireland, honouring its heritage and history. The grains used in our Single Grain whiskey are sourced from the very fields where our forefathers fought for Ireland’s freedom, making every sip a tribute to our nation’s proud legacy.
Tasting Notes
On the nose: A fresh mild whiskey with a light sweet aroma with subtle floral notes.
Taste: The experience on the palate is one of a mixed sweetness from the Maize
and toasted oak, with that light caramel flavour.
Finish: A clean and enduring finish with the back taste of caramel.
